Do you really want to trust your memories to a friend who has never photographed wedding here? When I first started as a city hall wedding photographer I was already very experienced with over 800 weddings previously photographed. However, even I was fooled by the lighting and did not fully understand all of the great places available at city hall to take pictures. I had to find them for myself and this took time.
With the huge increase of cell phone use for photography purposes, there are more reasons than ever to try to save money by not hiring a professional. In addition, digital cameras have made is simpler to take pictures by amateurs. So using a friend or relative as you photographer can be tempting.
